What is St. George Island?
St. George is a beautiful barrier reef island located 4 miles off the Florida coast in the Northeast Panhandle, connected to the mainland by bridge and is accessible by car. Sand dunes, long white sandy beaches, & seashells are common on this uncommon island. The island is a beautiful, upscale resort community reminiscent of the "old Florida" with no condos, traffic lights, or crowds. A good portion of the island is a protected State Park.
